ICUC asked:

When a real estate agency who handles residence properties introduces a property to a client, will there be any legal obligation that they should grasp any change of the situation of the property (for example, the construction of the shopping center just across street), and tell the client about it?

They can trace the history of the local government’s authorizing development of the location, can’t they?

And how long ahead should they know, if so?

We just bought a house in Oct. 05 and just now found out that part of my garage is on another homeowners property. The builder we bought it from built this garage and had it surveyed. What legal rights do I have in persuing the builder/surveyor? Do I have any rights in suing them? I’m totally lost–get a lawyer to help??

When I was a kid, we moved into a new house in the suburbs that had the cable box for the whole neighborhood in our back yard. It said all over it, “Do not tamper” and all that fun federal offense stuff. But it was on our property. Could we have charged them rent? Or built a shed around it that said “No Trespassing”? This is all hypothetical.

spaceshotx7 asked:

I know that outside federal buildings, or even off federal property (ie: across the street from the building on the sidewalk), there have been issues about people being detained or questioned by authorities, or even Law Enforcement for photographing federal buildings, even from public property. I don’t know what the rules are. What even gives security guards in federal buildings the right to enforce photography restrictions off federal property? How far way from the property do you have to be?
