I want to start off with a four unit apartment building and use that as leverage to attain more properties. What statistics should I look for that will shoot out a red flag of interest to make them the most appealing, cap rate, operating expenses, taxes, etc…? I want to have a local real estate management company look after it since they are more experienced in managing properties than I am. I know this will decrease the amount of cash flow the property will produce but at least I know the property is managed properly.
I recently divorced and we have split property and since the divorce my ex wants to have one of the properties signed back over to me. I live in Travis county Texas and i was wondering what forms need to be filled out and filed. The current deeds have both of our names on them but the divorce decree says property A is his and property B is hers, she wants me to have property B back and we want to get my name only on the deed.
I bought my house in 2005 and haven’t paid my property taxes since. Im getting ready to return the property to the bank because i cant afford my payment, so i was wondering if im gonna have to pay back all the property taxes i owe? i am not in pre forclosure or foreclosure yet.
Also how does returning the property and foreclosure affect my credit record and for how long?
After 20 years in the Military moving from state to state and country to country and after working overseas as a civilian for the last 10 years were ready to settle down and retire. We are now looking for a state to retire to that has low property taxes, not too cold of a climate, reasonably price homes, low crime and a city no larger than 500,000 people. We do not have any kids in school so the school system is not important to us. We lived in Texas and the property taxes are high, also lived in Georgia where the property taxes are not to bad. If we had a $250,000 home in your area what would the property taxes be?
